A Klass-RM Uploader Pro license is an optional paid upgrade that unlocks several advanced features. The app is fully usable without one - Pro adds features on top of the free tier.

Important: Most Pro features work on a free reMarkable account. The only exception is Notebook conversion, which also requires a reMarkable Connect subscription.
Buying a Pro license
Go to klasspaperless.com to purchase a Pro license. You can also open the purchase page from inside the app:
- Open Klass-RM Uploader.
- Go to the License section in Settings (Mac) or the Settings tab (iPhone/iPad).
- Tap Buy Pro License. A purchase page opens.
- Complete your purchase. Your license key is emailed to you immediately.
A Pro license is perpetual - you pay once and own it, with no recurring fees. It never expires.
Activating your license
There are three ways to activate a Pro license key:
Method 1: Paste the key
- Find your license key in the email you received after purchase.
- Open Klass-RM Uploader.
- Go to Settings > License.
- Paste the key into the license key field.
- Tap or click Activate.
The app verifies the key and unlocks Pro features immediately.
Method 2: Click the activation link in your email
The purchase confirmation email includes an activation link. Click it on any device where Klass-RM Uploader is installed and the app activates automatically. No copy-pasting needed.
Method 3: Open the license file
The email may also include a .klassrmuploader file. Double-click or open this file on your Mac (or open it with the app on iPhone/iPad) to activate automatically.
Checking your license status
To see whether a Pro license is active:
- Open Klass-RM Uploader.
- Go to Settings (Mac) or the Settings tab (iPhone/iPad).
- The License section shows whether a license is active, who it belongs to, and (for time-limited keys) when it expires.
If you lose your license key
If you cannot find your license key:
- Open Klass-RM Uploader.
- Go to Settings > License and tap Find My License Key.
- Enter the email address you used when you purchased.
- The key is re-sent to that email address.
License key format
License keys look like this: KRU-[characters].[characters]
If you have a key that does not start with KRU-, it is not a valid Klass-RM Uploader license key.
The license key is tied to your email
Your license key is associated with the email address you used to purchase it. It can be used on multiple devices - there is no per-device activation or device limit.
What happens when a time-limited key expires
If you activated a time-limited key (such as the free beta key offered during the launch period), the key expires on its expiration date. At that point:
- The app reverts to the free tier.
- Paid features are no longer available until you activate a perpetual (purchased) license or a new valid key.
- Your settings, upload history, and any configured planners or note collections are preserved.
You can purchase a perpetual license at any time to permanently unlock Pro features.
Activating a purchased license replaces a beta key
If you have a time-limited beta key and then purchase a perpetual license, activating the perpetual license replaces the beta key. The reverse is blocked: if you already have a perpetual license, the app will not let you accidentally overwrite it with a shorter-lived key.
