The cloud file browser is a separate window that shows your reMarkable account's full folder tree and every document in it - sizes, modified dates, tags, page counts, and more - without opening your tablet.
Browsing is completely free and read-only. It does not require a Pro license or a reMarkable Connect subscription. Mac only.
Opening the browser
Go to File > Browse reMarkable Files..., or click the toolbar button on the main window.
What you can see
- Folder sidebar - your account's full folder tree.
- Document table - every document in the selected folder, with size and last-modified date. Searchable, and you can select multiple documents at once.
- Detail inspector - select a document or folder to see its tags, page tags, page count, kind, pinned/created/modified dates, and its document or folder ID (with a copy button).
The browser keeps itself current: while the window is in front, it periodically checks for changes and updates automatically (you can adjust how often in Settings).
Exporting a document (Pro)
Browsing is free, but turning a document into a file on your Mac is a separate, paid action reached from the same inspector - click Export... for one document or Export All... for a multi-document selection. Troubleshooting
The browser is not showing my latest changes:
- Bring the window to the front - it only polls for changes while it is frontmost.
- Check the polling interval in Settings; you can lower it if you want faster updates.
A document shows no page count or tags:
- This information is fetched lazily when you select a document. Give it a moment, especially on a large account.
