Keep documents updated on your reMarkable, without losing your handwriting

Live Sync builds living documents that update themselves in place on your reMarkable as their source changes. Two kinds: calendar planners from your accounts, and a single PDF from your Obsidian notes.

Documents that update themselves - and keep your notes

Most files you put on a reMarkable are frozen the moment they upload. Live Sync documents are different: they re-render and update in place on the device whenever their source changes, and your handwriting comes along for the ride.

  • Updates in place Changes are reconciled into the document already on your device instead of uploading a new copy. It syncs in the background while the app is open, and catches up on next launch.
  • Your handwriting is preserved A page map follows each logical page across regenerations, so handwriting stays anchored as the content updates. (Because prose reflows, notes on long documents can drift as length changes.)
  • One pairing, no Connect Pair your reMarkable once and both calendar and note sync use it. The output is an annotated PDF, not a server-converted notebook, so it works on the free reMarkable tier with just a Pro license.
Calendar Sync

Your calendar, as a living planner

Generate a full multi-view planner from your accounts and keep it current on your reMarkable as your schedule changes.

Every view, linked together

Cover

An optional full-bleed cover photo with the title and quick links into the planner.

Year

A full-year overview with week-number jump buttons. Available on reMarkable 2, Pure, and Paper Pro.

Quarter

Three mini-months alongside ruled notes, with colour-tinted week-number jumps.

Month

A month grid with a week-number column and per-month colour coding throughout.

Week

The week at a glance; busy days flow into a tidy grid with a "+N more" overflow.

Day

An hour grid that splits overlapping events into side-by-side columns, with ruled notes.

Event notes

A dedicated note page per event, linked from the day and to each attendee's contact page.

Contact index

An A-Z index of everyone in your events, each linking to a per-person page.

Connect any calendar

Merge as many accounts as you like into one planner. Every event keeps its calendar's colour. Sign-ins and passwords are stored only in the macOS Keychain, never on our servers.

Mac Calendar

Local Calendar via EventKit: iCloud, Google, Exchange, and subscribed feeds, per-calendar.

Google

Gmail or Google Workspace via Google sign-in. Optionally pull its contacts too. During the beta, Google sign-in is limited to approved testers; request access at beta@klassconcepts.com.

Microsoft

A personal Microsoft account (Outlook.com or Hotmail). Optionally pull its contacts too.

CalDAV

iCloud, Fastmail, or any self-hosted server with an app-specific password.

ICS feeds

Subscribe to any https or webcal calendar URL, refreshed on each sync.

A built-in contact index for everyone you meet

Calendar Sync builds an address book from your event attendees and links it throughout the planner. Optionally enrich it from your real contacts so each person arrives with full details.

  • Enriched from your address book Match attendees against Mac Contacts, CardDAV, Microsoft 365, or Google to fill in each person's photo, organisation, phones, emails, postal address, and website.
  • Merged and organised People who appear under several emails are merged into one page. An A-Z jump bar, First Last or Last, First ordering, and a max-contacts cap keep even a busy index readable.
  • Linked both ways Each event links its attendees to their page; each contact page lists their events with room for notes. An exclusion list keeps people out, such as yourself.

Obsidian Note Sync

Your Obsidian notes, on your reMarkable

Point Live Sync at a folder of Markdown notes and it aggregates the whole vault into one PDF that stays current on your tablet, so you can read and annotate your notes on e-ink.

One always-current document from a whole folder

It works like Watched Folders, but instead of uploading each file on its own, it renders your notes into a single linked PDF and keeps that one document updated in place, handwriting intact.

  • Watch your vault Add one or more folders (read-only). Notes are gathered recursively, and a tag filter can limit the document to notes carrying any of the tags you choose.
  • Structured like your vault A title page, then a hierarchical folder index that mirrors your vault: tap a folder to jump to its own index page, with an "↑ Up" breadcrumb on every page. Each note follows on its own page(s), its frontmatter shown as a table and the rendered Markdown below.
  • Tappable wikilinks Your Obsidian [[wikilinks]] become working in-document links that jump straight to the target note's page (aliases, folder paths, and heading anchors all supported). External links stay clickable too.
  • Refreshes on a schedule Re-scan from every 30 minutes to daily while the app is open, or hit Sync Now. Unchanged scans are cheap, so it only re-renders when notes actually change.

Tune each note collection

Watched foldersAdd one or more folders; notes are gathered recursively, read-only.
Tag filterInclude only notes with any of your tags, matched against frontmatter and inline #tags. Empty includes everything.
Title and coverSet the title-page name and an optional cover image, like the planner.
Target devicereMarkable 2 and Pure, Paper Pro, or Paper Pro Move, which sets the PDF page size.
Font, size, and layoutPick the font and text size, toolbar position, and handedness, just like the planner.
Refresh intervalOff, 30 minutes, hourly, 3h, 6h, 12h, or daily, plus a manual Sync Now.
Folder list styleList notes as plain title rows, or as summary cards showing a date and a short summary pulled from frontmatter.

Your calendar and contacts never leave your Mac

Live Sync is a native Mac app, not a web service. There is no account to create with us, and your schedule is never uploaded to our servers.

Processed On Your Mac

Your calendars and contacts are read locally and the planner is generated on your own machine. Events and attendees are never sent to us, and we never see your schedule.

Credentials Stay in the Keychain

CalDAV and CardDAV app passwords and your Google and Microsoft sign-in tokens are stored only in the macOS Keychain. They are never synced or written anywhere we can read them.

Direct to Your reMarkable

One device pairing syncs straight to your tablet through reMarkable’s own API. No web dashboard, no middleman, and no reMarkable Connect subscription required.

Documents that stay alive on your reMarkable

Live Sync is included with Klass-RM Uploader Pro: a one-time purchase, not a subscription. One license covers every Mac in your household and works on every reMarkable.

All Pro features available for free during the beta.
